By accessing or using PDFSlick Sync (the "Service", "PDFSlick"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service provides a real-time collaboration and annotation layer for PDF documents. As part of our "Zero-Storage" architecture:

  • The Service does not host or store your PDF files.
  • The Service synchronizes and stores only the metadata, annotations, and comments you create.
  • You are responsible for providing the PDF files and ensuring you have the legal right to use them.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Content & Conduct

You retain all rights to the annotations and comments you create. However, you agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or annotate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the real-time synchronization or integrity of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, logos, and design, is the property of PDFSlick and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. These terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service's intellectual property.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL PDFSLICK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Since we do not store your original PDF files, we are not responsible for the loss or corruption of any documents used within the application.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
